Feature

A fuel log that fills itself in

The fuel log records each fill-up with the date, quantity, price per unit, odometer reading and payment method, then works out your fuel economy and cost per distance. Point the camera at the receipt and on-device text recognition reads the amount, volume and price for you, so a fill-up takes a few seconds to log instead of a minute of typing.

What gets recorded on every fill-up

Each entry stores the date, the fuel quantity in your vehicle's unit (litres, US or UK gallons, kilograms for CNG, or kWh for electric), the price per unit, the total paid, the odometer reading and how you paid. Entries are tagged with the units and currency they were made in, so a log you created in rupees stays in rupees even if you change your settings later.

From two consecutive full fill-ups the app calculates distance travelled, fuel economy and cost per kilometre or mile. The fuel logs list can be filtered by vehicle and browsed month by month, and each entry opens into a detail screen with the full breakdown.

Scan the receipt instead of typing

The receipt scanner uses on-device text recognition (Google ML Kit) to read the fuel receipt and pre-fill the entry. You review the recognised values on a confirmation screen before saving, so nothing is stored without your approval. Recognition runs on the phone; the receipt image is not uploaded for processing.

Every fuel type, including two tanks

Vehicles can run on petrol, diesel, CNG or electricity. Petrol-plus-CNG vehicles get two tanks, each with its own unit and its own fuel-economy figure, so a CNG kit on a petrol car no longer breaks your numbers.

If you forget to log, a refuel reminder arrives after seven days for two-wheelers and fifteen days for four-wheelers, and a monthly summary email shows what each vehicle cost that month.

FAQ

Fuel log with receipt scanning: questions

Can the app read my fuel receipt automatically?

Yes. The receipt scanner uses on-device text recognition to read the amount, volume and price from a fuel receipt and pre-fills the entry. You confirm the values before anything is saved.

Does the fuel log work for CNG and electric vehicles?

Yes. CNG is logged in kilograms and electric charging in kWh, and a petrol-plus-CNG vehicle gets two separate tanks with their own fuel economy figures.

What if I forget to log a fill-up?

You get a refuel reminder after seven days for two-wheelers and fifteen days for four-wheelers. Missed fill-ups simply widen the gap between two entries; the next pair of full fill-ups gives a correct fuel-economy figure again.
